  • IS PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA HOT OR SPICY?    

    Although it may sound like a five-alarm breakfast blend, rest assured that our granola is only seasoned with rich, warming spices, but is not actually hot or spicy. It’s named for its origins as a firehouse snacking staple.

  • WHY DO YOU USE COCONUT OIL?

    Unlike cheaper, more processed oils, coconut oil is high in medium chain fatty acids, which has been found to lower cholesterol. Some oils, like coconut oil, are necessary to properly digest the nutrients in all the foods we eat. Additionally, coconut oil is great for your skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by helping to keep your connective tissues strong and supple. 

  • WHY DO YOU USE SEA SALT?

    Just a tiny pinch of salt goes a long way when it comes to balancing out the sweetness of our granola. It may get a bad rap for being overused in commercially prepared foods, but salt is a vital nutrient that helps our bodies stay properly hydrated. We’re careful to keep the sodium low, since our essential ingredients are so delicious already, they don’t need much further enhancement. 

  • IS THERE ANY ADDED SUGAR IN PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA?    

    Refined sugar has no place in our pantry or on our table. Our sweetness is all natural from 100% Grade B maple syrup and pure agave; no fillers or artificial alternatives here.

  • IS DARK CHOCOLATE HEALTHY?

    Chocolate is celebrated the world over not only for its irresistible flavor, but for its proven health benefits. Although often cited merely as a mood-enhancer and possible aphrodisiac, chocolate also has an abundance of theobromine and flavanols, which improve brain function and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

  • IS PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA VEGAN?

    Yes! We are proudly 100% vegan. We use no animal products and our granola is only tested on hungry humans. 

  • IS PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA GLUTEN FREE?

    While our granola is made with entirely gluten-free ingredients, it’s possible that some of the components may have been exposed to gluten during the manufacturing process. People with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity have widely varying degrees of sensitivity to trace gluten, so we cannot make any guarantees. 

  • IS PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA ORGANIC?

    Quality always comes first and we source as many organic ingredients as possible. Right now, that includes organic coconut oil, maple syrup, cranberries, coconut and raisins.    

  • WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF YOUR GRANOLA?

    Sealed properly and stored in a dark, dry, and cool place, our granola will stay as fresh as the day it was baked for a month, possibly two. Every batch is crafted by hand, so preservatives never enter the picture. If you want to stock up, it’s best to stash the unopened jars in the freezer. Paul always keeps his granola in the fridge to begin with, which keeps it fresh, cool, and crisp at all times! 

  • IS PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA GMO FREE?

    GMO ingredients are much more likely to turn up in junk foods, since over 85% of the soybeans, corn, sugar beets, and canola grown today is from GMO seeds. Happily, our granola omits all these questionable characters. 

  • WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS TO EAT PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA?

    No other granola on grocery store shelves packs in the same quality and variety of whole nuts, seeds, unsweetened dried fruits, and whole grains. The greatest way to honor such superlative ingredients is to let them shine, unimpeded by excessive sugar or a heavy hand with the spice shakers. Our granola is so spectacular because we don’t cut any corners, from start to finish, valuing flavor just as much as nutrition. 

  • DOES PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA CONTAIN NUTS OR SEEDS?

    Yes, we’re just a little bit nuts around here and proud of it! Almonds, peanuts, cashews and sunflower seeds round out the crunchy base, each one adding unique nutritional perks to the blend. All nuts have a lot to offer for overall health, and we like to think that we’ve cherry-picked the most powerful and flavorful options in the orchard. Almonds are particularly rich in calcium for stronger bones, while peanuts feature an array of nutrients that have been shown to promote heart health, such as vitamin E, niacin, folate, protein and manganese. Cashews are noteworthy for their selenium content, which plays a key role in regulating metabolism. Sunflower seeds offer an abundance of vitamin E for more elastic skin- And that’s all just for starters.

  • DOES PAUL'S FIREHOUSE GRANOLA CONTAIN DAIRY?

    No, our granola is entirely dairy-free, right down to the rich dark chocolate chunks.
